I remember listening to Theo from 92.3 the Beat and in between songs, they would go into commercials. These commercials were so dope (and catchy) you would forget they were commercials, and would catch yourself boppin' your head to the song. St. Ides had this concept on lock! Here was the formula: Get a reputable rap star + catchy hook and voila...St. Ides Radio Commercials. I know growing up, all my homies were all about 8Ball, but it was hard not to like St. Ides (especially when they came out with that Special Brew).
